Statement?
We're in a server for TMA fans, and every now and then, we'll be seized by this... inexplicable urge to just write a small thing. It's not about anyone, just a sort of... snapshot of a feeling. I could blame this on my source, Archivist bullshit, blah blah blah, but really, I think we just miss writing and these sort of... "mini-statements" are fun. Anyway, here's the one we just wrote during the discussion of what a Vast/Buried domain might be like.
You feel the weight of the others pressing in on you, suffocating you, crushing you, but at the same time, they're the only ones keeping you upright. If you fall, the people in the crowd (are they even people anymore? are the individuals, or are they consumed by the Swarm? are they separate bodies, or just a single mass of Flesh?) will trample you without hesitation. The steady movements of the crowd won't stop as you're crushed beneath their feet. You'll cry out, but your voice will be lost in and endless sea of babbling conversations. Someone (something?) else will fill the hole you left as you collapsed, and your absence won't even be noticed. It will be as though you never existed at all.
